Hours of Work: 3rd Shift/Overnights; Monday – Friday

Brief Description

Assure routine and ongoing functioning of Human Trafficking program facility for the migrant and immigrant population.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Provide direct services to program participants as needed.
  2. Monitor building and shelter security systems and procedures.
  3. Provide crisis intervention, information and referrals as needed.
  4. Provide admittance and intake of shelter residents; arrange alternate shelter, as needed.
  5. Monitor functioning of crisis line; answer, as needed.
  6. Assist in activities related to daily shelter operations.
  7. Assure necessary maintenance and custodial functions, as needed.
  8. Safeguard confidential information gained as a result of the position.
  9. Comply with applicable local, state and federal licensing requirements/certification and or regulations.
  10. Comply with Association policy regarding required reporting of child abuse, elder abuse, suicide and homicide.
  11. Work cooperatively with program participants, YWCA staff and volunteers.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.

  12. Occasionally work near moving mechanical parts
  13. Occasionally work in high, precarious places
  14. Occasionally work around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals
  15. Occasionally exposure to outside weather conditions
  16. Occasionally exposure to extreme heat or cold (non-weather)
  17. Occasionally exposure to bloodborne and airborne pathogens or infectious materials
  18. While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
  19. The employee must occasionally lift 10 lbs and /or move more than 10lbs frequently lift and/or move up to 10 lbs continually lift and/or move up to 10 lbs
  20. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: All Close vision; Distance vision; Color vision; Peripheral vision; Depth perception and ability to adjust focus

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Familiarization with YWCA Personnel Policies and Mission.
  2. Appropriate training and in-service which will occur during employment.
  3. Orientation to YWCA Personnel Policies, Mission, Purpose and One Imperative.
  4. Racial Justice Training
  5. Orientation to Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, Confidentiality, Mandatory Reporting.
  6. Other appropriate training and in-service which will occur during employment.
