Donate to Community Allies in Kalamazoo

Your donation to our Annual Fund: Evolving the Story, helps us continue to be community allies in Kalamazoo by providing services and programs for the women and their families in Kalamazoo County.


To ensure the safety of our clients, donors, and the community we serve, In-kind donations are being accepted on a set schedule on  Thursdays from 9 am to 5 PM at our main building (Downtown) 353 E. Michigan Avenue. We are no longer able to accept any used donations of any kind. Instead, we will only be accepting items on our critical needs list. We appreciate your understanding.

Every donation makes an impact!


Provides service of a Personal Protection Order (PPO) for a victim of domestic violence struggling to find safety from her/his abuser.


Provides one night of shelter in our safe, secure, and confidential shelter.


Provides supportive services for a victim of sexual assault during an exam.


Provides a human trafficking victim the resources needed to escape.


Provides a homeless child a week of childcare and education to prepare them for Kindergarten.


Provides home visitation to an at-risk pregnant woman increasing her chances of a healthy baby.


Gives an at-risk girl a week of STEM Camp.


Provides one month of housing for a victim of domestic violence and her children and provides legal services for a victim of abuse by an attorney.


YWCA works with our community partners to provide personal care, daily living and food products to those receiving our services.

Donations can be delivered to our office at 353 E. Michigan Avenue, downtown Kalamazoo, on Thursdays from 8:30 am – 5pm.

With our needs changing on a regular basis, if you are interested in donation an item not listed, please call ahead so we may assess the need for that item.

Donations are distributed based on program need. Excess goods may be distributed to other charities as needed.

Donate to YWCA Edison Children’s Center

Planned for 2021, we will be opening Michigan’s only comprehensive early childhood learning center that includes 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift care and 24-hour drop-in services, guaranteeing a safe environment when the unexpected occurs. Our center will offer a comprehensive, high-quality early learning program, ensuring academic readiness in the formative years.
