Great Start Readiness Program Site (GSRP)

The YWCA Children’s Center proudly hosts two Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) classrooms serving 32 children prior to their entry into Kindergarten. We offer this high-quality Pre-K experience to families who qualify for this state-funded program in addition to families who do not. The Children’s Center is also proud to be a KCReady4’s provider. Being a GSRP and KCReady4’s provider means that children enrolled into the YWCA Children’s Center will receive top-quality experiences, their families will be engaged, and the teaching team is supported through regular professional development and mentoring.

GSRP is a program for children who are entering Kindergarten during the next school year. This program allows a 1 to 8 teacher to student ratio for more individualized attention. This program, depending on income and other qualifying factors which may be little to no cost for families – dependent on income and other risk factors.
